Melbourne

Worlds Most Liveable City 6 years in a row (and counting). The greatest place on Earth, great food, wine, and coffee culture. Espresso martinis, Revolver, AFL (footy), crazy weather and the greatest humans… I’m not bias or anything but my home is just the absolute bloody best! There is a reason Melbournians are obsessed with their city and you just have to experience it to understand it… i guarantee you… you will fall in love ❤

Things to do:

Go to the Footy: in Melbourne, AFL is what we call footy and we live and breathe it! We have the most teams out of all cities so there is footy on every weekend and its a great experience for anyone who isn’t from Australia. You will see us at best (worst) drunk and yelling but mostly having a good time!

Nightlife: Melbourne is infamous for its nightlife. You can go from Thursday to Monday without going to bed and always have somewhere to go (if that is your thing). We have a very late nightlife so you start at a bar… and head out after but let me get into more details further down.

South Yarra Area: Plenty of amazing food options (Mr Miyagi is a must). Plenty of really cool bars around. You can head to Lucky Coq for $4 pizza and drinks, then head to either Circus (younger sort of crowd) or Pawn and Co. – new venue and a bit of an older crowd. THEN the main event… you can go to Revolver Upstairs… more affectionately referred to as ‘Revs’. Basically you come here at like 9am onwards OR you can come here for a Sunday sesh from the afternoon and go well into Monday morning… you can even head to Breakfast Club if you are keen to keep going through Monday. Ask any Melbournian and they will say that you haven’t been to Melbourne if you haven’t been to Revs. Lots of cool shopping around this area too.

Fitzroy: My personal favourite area of Melbourne. A big hipster area but there is heaps to do and you don’t get the fuckwits you get in the CBD. There are heaps of cool restaurants here… naked for Satan is great in Summer and has an amazing view on the rooftop. In terms of nightlife: you can go to Bimbos (the same owners of Lucky Coq) for $4 pizza and drinks. Then head over to Glamorama for a boogy well into the morning!

CBD: The best restaurants are in the city naturally… my favourites are: Chin Chin, Rice Paper Scissors, Pastuso, Rockpool, Atlantic, Cookie, Longrain. Any of the restaurants in Crown casino are really good. Melbourne does amazing Asian food so eat as much as possible. Nightlife: there are so many places to go out in Melbourne that I really can’t name them. I prefer not to go out in the city these days but for those that like the sound of Revs… you can check out Tramp which has ‘Jungle’ that starts at 6am and goes on until Sunday afternoon. WARNING: it is really full on and you may get a bit of a shock when seeing what goes down there. Head to Crown casino just to check it out but mostly for the food!
